I have spend a lot of time making hair bows. Can u guess what all the girls in my family are getting for Christmas!! Here are some that I've made to sell at either the craftshow I'm doing this weekend or at my lil sis' hair salon. I've got several holiday bows and then regular bows. It's been fun. I never knew I had so much ribbon. And know Izzy loves to have her hair done!!! Finally after 4 years I can put her hair in clips or even ponies and she's not screaming and ripping them out!! Yippee! I'll start posting my Christmas projects soon!!! Life has been crazy!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/STi3Dz4k8OI/AAAAAAAABRQ/jDU22CGWZkk/s400/SANY2023.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5276168239559536866" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/STi3EbH11kI/AAAAAAAABRg/_5PHR6-YdDY/s400/SANY2022.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5276168250092541506" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/STi3EPoD3TI/AAAAAAAABRY/yUyPc0OAgzk/s400/SANY2017.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5276168247006453042" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/STi3D99bLrI/AAAAAAAABRI/-7_5h68kuhc/s400/SANY2016.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5276168242264223410" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/STi3DdeQ6PI/AAAAAAAABRA/2KMRoc_ivVM/s400/SANY1819.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5276168233543592178" />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422825094288662918.post-32418818171038372472008-10-21T20:07:00.002-05:002008-10-21T20:15:26.319-05:00more coaster boxes<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/SP59ZKKshOI/AAAAAAAABLQ/trgGIBQ14KM/s400/SANY1633.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5259779285994734818" />
My mummy box is super cute in person. It just didn't photograph very well. I tore jsut plain typing paper and then tipped the edges in brown chalk ink (love my cat eyes!!) then I randomly glued them around the box. These coasters were not tied together. Just used some really strong glue and the glued 'bandages' to hold it together.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/SP59ZdX65tI/AAAAAAAABLY/d7HHcX319lo/s400/SANY1638.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5259779291150477010" />
THis one is my fav. the scarecrow hat is actually a textured brown then i added dimension (not that u can see in the pic) using my cat eye chalk
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/SP59ZZi7pRI/AAAAAAAABLg/cr2cL7rCPTg/s400/SANY1639.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5259779290122921234" />
This is the best i could come up with for a snowman box. I cut the ends off two round coaters then trimmed two square coasters to make a box. I'm in the process of making serveral more to give as Halloween gifts. They are just chipboard coasters covered in paper and the face is made of punched paper. Virtually no stamping involved--super simple, super quick!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/SPJ010F1fII/AAAAAAAABGo/3h0EnbaEcEQ/s400/SANY1320.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256392182959799426" />

This is a SU rubon used on a glass candle holder. The mommy-to-be is doing the nursery in a baby jungle theme (super cute!!) So we are trying to incorporate that in the shower. These are the cupcake toppers I made for the dessert table. I think they turned out super cute! I used a scallop punch for the base and then used my creative memories circle punch to a stamped image. I;ll post more details tomorrow!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/SNMSwYgnMiI/AAAAAAAAA34/B5p4BEGNr6s/s400/SANY1321.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5247558613239018018" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/SNMSwpVAzhI/AAAAAAAAA4A/L8TWssskkNI/s400/SANY1322.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5247558617753767442" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/SNMSw9FBLHI/AAAAAAAAA4I/El0Tha3Gokw/s400/SANY1325.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5247558623055391858" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/SNMSxNVVjQI/AAAAAAAAA4Q/nrHOZfv36cU/s400/SANY1324.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5247558627418803458" />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422825094288662918.post-896328469981026502008-09-18T21:40:00.001-05:002008-09-18T21:44:29.768-05:00Baby ShowerI helping host a baby shower for a friend and these are the centerpieces. We wanted to go simple so these are the bowls wrapped with curling ribbon with a tag attached. Inside to bowles we are putting glass marbles and a candle.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/SNMRlAdDacI/AAAAAAAAA3o/Iyqx7ZJkWiA/s320/SANY1335.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5247557318291450306" />
These are the tags that are being used for each centerpiece.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/SNMRlYZWxMI/AAAAAAAAA3w/qqsb8sCBEtk/s320/SANY1331.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5247557324718392514" />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422825094288662918.post-19159675721793534312008-08-05T20:16:00.000-05:002008-08-21T15:17:00.362-05:00Picture Clip<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/SJj70usglHI/AAAAAAAAAos/QcphboueX5k/s320/SANY0846.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5231207850497315954" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/SJj703cKBbI/AAAAAAAAAo0/u--hkXKIIZY/s320/SANY0842.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5231207852844647858" />

This is just an altered jumbo binder clip. I used purple paper to cover the metal clip the I wrapped ribbon on each side. Next I stamped the image and punched it out using my scallop punch. The stamp set had a snowflake in the middle so I just didn't ink it and added the yellow dot to look like sun. My mom gave me this idea when she used it on her flip flop photo album. The words say Celebrate the Season and I think it's fitting for a cute summer pic! The picture is of me, my sisters, and my mom swimming at moms.
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422825094288662918.post-84059442410113566902008-08-05T20:06:00.000-05:002008-08-05T20:16:32.803-05:00Super Cute Baby Gift<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/SJj5hxGNW7I/AAAAAAAAAoc/i7gAS8LJQqc/s400/SANY0848.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5231205325701209010" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/SJj5h7NtDzI/AAAAAAAAAok/HFvYx8sD918/s400/SANY0847.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5231205328417001266" />
This is a super cute little gift bag I made for the soon to be newest addition to our extended family! My sister is due in two weeks and I'm acutally planning ahead!! The nursery is decorated in pink and brown and has lots of polka-dots. So I decided to make a bag that would match!! I used pink CS and then used my fiskars embossing plate to give the background nice texture. Next I took a brown band of paper and stamped the dots with versamark and then heat and stick powder then I adhered the pink flocking. (that's the fun fuzzy stuff) I think next time I use flocking I'll just use a glue pen to make sure the stuff sticks were I want it!! So I glued that to the bag and decided to add the teddy bear I colored it in using a brown crayola and then blending the color around using my blender pen dipped in goo gone (LOVIN' that technique!). I decided to add the little tag It's a girl using my new SU punch. Lastly, since I didn't have any brown tissue paper. I just stamped the brown dots onto white tissue paper. I think it all ties together nicely. Obviously the picture does not do it justice!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422825094288662918.post-20170369305414505062008-08-05T20:02:00.000-05:002008-12-11T22:18:10.408-06:00Post-It Note Holder<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_SveGn5Wle0M/SJj4SQ5O2-I/AAAAAAAAAoU/S5NJLu2bfFk/s400/SANY0855.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5231203959847181282" />
This is such a quick and easy project!! I just covered a chipboard coaster (you could even use the free coasters from restraunts) with some cute paper. Then I took a post-it note pad and clipped it to the top using a medium sized binder clip. Next I stamped the quote and glued it on. I even make matching RSVP pens (from Wally World) and give them away as quick gifts!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422825094288662918.post-9398395042188525722008-08-02T16:19:00.000-05:002008-12-11T22:18:10.592-06:00Tommy's Bday card
Made my nephew's bday card today (only a couple weeks late!!) I tried to do a simple little boy card. I stamped the worm first in green then stamped over the image in versamark then put heat and stick powder on it. Heated it with the embossing gun (from underneath to prevent flyaway) and then covered it with green flocking I love creating kids cards that have fun texture. So Tommy has a fuzzy green googly eyed bug to touch on this one!! I also embossed the wording wiht green embossing powder. The worms were stamped with green galore all over the background cardstock! Hope he likes it!! (the ribbon is the $1 ribbon at Michaels --gotta love that store!!)

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422825094288662918.post-61583175539584334222008-08-02T00:54:00.000-05:002008-12-11T22:18:10.820-06:00Late Night Decorating

Okay so it's almost 1am on Friday night I spent most of the evening cleaning and went out to pick some fresh flowers for my table. After putting my dd to bed and finishing odds and ends I decided the vase needed to be a little more cheerful. Since I have extra Frap bottles I thought that would be the perfect vase to spiffy up! So here's what I came up with! I just covered the bottle with random paper and used the Doodle This SU stamp. I stamped the image twice and then colored them in using crayons and goo gone (hoping to explain this tech in more detail tomorrow) Then cut them out stuck em together and added the jewel in the center for fun. I also pinched the petals to give it more dimension.
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422825094288662918.post-1038819015540222962008-08-01T09:42:00.000-05:002008-08-01T09:44:06.688-05:00Excuses, Excuses!No pictures lately, I've got a ton of projects set up for this weekend. Anyway, These are cute little CD tins that I've altered into tic-tac-toe sets for gifts. I covered the tin and jazzed it up. I then stamped the princess images onto white CS and punched them out then useing Crystal Effects secured them to the clear glass stones. After they were dried I added a little strip of magnet so they stay in place. I didn't show the game board but they are cut to size and laminated. (forgot to say all images were colored using SU watercolor pencils and blender pens.) Love 'em don't u??

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422825094288662918.post-70483638210063235332008-07-30T21:49:00.001-05:002008-12-11T22:18:11.515-06:00Frugal Creator!I am well known for being tight with my budget so I try to cut corners whenever possible. That's why I love looking for bargain--well you can't get much cheaper than free!! I love to nab some paint samples everytime I run into a home improvement store or whereever paint is sold. This particular time I chose to use the paint samples to make some card candy! I used my scallop punch (sold by Stampin' Up!) and 2 differnt sized circle punches to create these fun images. (honestly, I probably won't use them on cards but on scrapbook pages) I love the paint samples b/c all the color coordinating is done for you!! So the next time you see some grab 'em and experiment!! Enjoy!
After gluing them together I did add some bling to each. I used my SU two-way glue pen to add dots and then added irridecent ice to each. Unfortunately they do not show up to well--but i'm sure you get the idea!! The 2-5-7-10 boxes. These are sooo simple and yet so cute. Everyone kinda did their own theme. Diane even used the one piece cut off to make a gift tag to hang on the bag--I hadn't even thought of that!! That's what I love most about our club-I give directions and everyone adds their own unique twist and we each learn from each other! For instance the purple one created by Dawn she detoured from the directions and curved the flap for the bag--turned out adorable, Jay decided not to close hers with a ribbon and made a button enclosure instead! There were some boxes not posted (some weren't finished yet) Mom chose to do a Halloween themed and Norma went with a patriotic them.
For the tutorial for the 2-5-7-10 boxes go to where else??. . . . http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ click on resources in the top right corner!

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422825094288662918.post-74250469677586680982008-07-26T22:00:00.000-05:002008-12-11T22:18:14.358-06:00Stamp ClubHere's a pic of the spread mom brought. She made it to where the bottom shoe is glued into this holder -she was going for a sort of platform looking dealio? We all agreed she needed to add more sponged on brown to give it more of a cork texture. I was really impressed with her version!!

Here's a shot of Norma's first couple of pages. Here is Jared's card. Couldn't do much better--I don't have very many 'boy' stamps! I need to add those to my list!! He would love the truck stamps SU has. Anyhoo--here's what I accomplished. I used the SU crab and Company set. I cut out the images and glued them to CS. I added the google eyes--figured he'd get a kick out of it!! Enjoy!

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422825094288662918.post-79137473376463607902008-07-23T10:07:00.000-05:002008-12-11T22:18:14.885-06:00Princess JordynMy neice and nephew turn 5 today so last night at about 11:30pm I decided oh-yeah I need to whip out some bday cards! So here is Princess Jordyn's card. I kept it pretty simple. I used the Perfect Princess SU stamp set. I added the hot pink and light pink rhinestones to the crown. the J is just chipboard covered in irridecent ice. Very simple. Hard to be creative that late at night!! :)

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422825094288662918.post-42681826635831196192008-07-21T14:48:00.000-05:002008-12-11T22:18:15.034-06:00Growing in FaithI know I am a corny mom!! my DD had vacation bible school this week so as a thank u to all the teachers I made little sucker flowers. I should have taken a side pic so you could see the dum dum sucker in the pot. Very basic and simple to do. Totally cased this from another blog. I'll post the link (as soon as I find it again!) The card is a view finder card--turn the wheel and there are three different flowers and three different versions of thank you. The black bag is in the background. I punched three scallop flowers and wrote 'grow in faith' the same (reverse colors) are on the other side of the bag. The teachers really enjoyed them (the flowers not the dum dums!)

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422825094288662918.post-26276673590321744262008-07-21T14:44:00.000-05:002008-12-11T22:18:15.194-06:00Thank u cardHere is the thank u card that went along with the flip flop album. The net is the plastic webbing found at lss (local scrapbook store) the Stamp sets are SU. The sun is kissed with yellow and orange it also has irridecent glitter in the center. The 'volleyball poles' are just black ribbon folded over and adhered with glue dots. I thought it was a fitting thank you card!!

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422825094288662918.post-6163783897533532432008-07-21T14:36:00.000-05:002008-12-11T22:18:15.898-06:00Summer Fun

Okay for my first attempt at this blog I am posting the flip flop album I made for my dd's swim instructor. I left the pages blank so she could add her own pics in (didn't figure she would want an album full of my adorable daughter) She was thrilled with it. So were the other mom's at swim lessons! I only photographed a couple of the pages.

This was really simple to put together. Got some cheapy flip flops ($1) took the toe piece off both. Next I stamped some beach themed images from Stampin' Up! and glued them (E6000) onto the inside cover and back of the shoe. Then I traced the flip flop onto cardstock and cut them out. I punched holes in all the card stock and then used one as my pattern to place the holes in the shoes. I used a paper piercer (ice pick look-a-like) and eventually got holes big enough in the shoes. Lastly I decorate the pages (Very simple considering I didn't have pics to work with.) Then I used black cording to put it all together. I decided ribbon was too thick and cumbersome. This worked for me!! I added rub-ons to the front of the shoe (oops forgot to tell u to put the toe part back on the top of shoe!) I used a shoe that had glittery toe thingy so I didn't decorate it. I made one for my SIL that I tied little piece of ribbon all around the toe part. ENJOY!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
